Porsche 944 S2 Transmission/Transaxle 1989-91 includes manual models 016.J/ 016.K/ 016.R and 016.S with designations ASG/ ASH/ ASV/ ASW/ AOR/ AOS/ AOT/ 083F and 083J with automatic models 087.M and 087.N with designation RCE and RCF. How do I tell what my transmission model and type designations are? The build sticker for a 944 is under the collapsible spare tire on the inside of the rear body panel that tells you all the information about the car. First is the Vin #, then model type of the car, then motor and transmission designation, then paint color and interior code, and lastly the 3 digit option codes. (example 220 is for limited slip differential)
